The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has issued full guidance to the NHS in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on Irreversible electroporation (IRE) for treating renal cancer.

Description

Renal cancer occurs in the lining of the very small tubes in the kidney. Irreversible electroporation is a process that uses electrical pulses to kill cancer cells; it is applied directly to the tumour through special needles.
