Evidence-based recommendations on NIOX MINO, NIOX VERO and NObreath for measuring the amount of exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in the breath to help diagnose asthma.

Is this guidance up to date?

We reviewed the evidence in May 2019 and have updated recommendation 1.1 of the guidance. FeNO is recommended by NICE to help diagnose asthma, in line with NICE’s guideline on asthma: diagnosis, monitoring and chronic asthma management.

Next review: This guidance will be reviewed if there is new evidence that is likely to change the recommendations.
